Walking In His Presence

How blessed we are that we have a personal God, One who wants to be intimate with us. He is not some piece of wood or stone, nor is he a glorified man who wrote up a new religion. But our God is the Creator of the Universe, and He is our Creator as well. He has a personal and deep love for each of us, so we give Him thanks and praise. His love is so overwhelming and unfailing. While we were yet sinners, He sent His Son, Jesus, to live and die for us that we might live for Him until we die. Then we will live with Him.

We often think of God as distant, but as we have accepted Jesus into our hearts, He is in us, and everywhere we are, He is. But we are not always aware of this and sometimes we take Him to places He would not have us go because we are not sensitive to His indwelling Spirit. We need to ask the Lord to speak to us so that we can hear. We, out of a grateful and loving heart, need to ask Him to reveal Himself more and more to us so that we can walk in an open heave (in open fellowship with Him). That is how He and our Father walked when Jesus was on earth. Jesus did what He saw the Father doing. So also the Holy Spirit will show us to the Father that we may do what He is doing. We are His extension and because He is in us, all of His power is in us, too. So as we abide, His power flows through us to accomplish His will and purpose in the lives of others as well as our own. Prayer: Father, I want to see You and do as You are doing. In the name of Jesus and for His glory. Amen.
