Musings of the Day

Ponderings for Easter have led me to search my heart as to how this day affects my life. I was led to Daily Light which is a selection of Scriptures for the day. First look at Colossians 3:1, "Since, then, you have beed raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God." I asked the Lord to speak to my heart. Here is what He said:

I said, "I was born a sinner, yes, from the moment my mother conceived me."
He said, "Your reputation was great among the nations for your beauty; it was perfect because of all the gifts I gave you, says the Lord God."

I said, "I'm too much of a sinner for you to have around."
He said, "How beautiful you are, my love, how beautiful."

I said, "I loathe myself and repent in dust and ashes."
He said, "You are so beautiful ,my love.

I said, "When I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong."
He said, "Cheer up, son! I have forgiven your sins."

I said, "I know I am rotten through and through so far as my old sinful nature is concerned."
He said, "You have everything when you have Christ." "You are perfect because of what Christ has done."

So this Easter season ponder this: "Your sins are washed away......you are set apart for God......He has accepted you because of what the Lord Jesus Christ and the Spirit of our God have done for you." "You have been chosen by God himself."

Thank you, Lord for choosing me. I celebrate You this glorius Resurrection Day - Easter.
